Well good news for me. I happened to score two passes to see the movie on Monday, March 2. So hooray for me. But I mean it's good for you too, because that means I can post all the wonderful little details right here on these interwebs. I will also have a mini spoilers section for those of you who hate suprises when you see movies (or you could just read the book). And yes I do realize that I have two passes and I am just one person. I am now accepting applications for a Watchmen friend. Preferably blonde and easy... going that is.

How about a triple feature? Street Fighter, Dragonball and Super Capers.
Fighting hard to join the pantheon of "Movie trailers that made me want to stab my eyes out with rusty nails" comes Super Capers! This lovely little gem of a trailer played before the thoroughly enjoyable Fanboys. It was all I could do to not curl into a fetal position and start screaming for mercy. It was really, really, really terrible. And so for your enjoyment (read: because I really hate you) here is the trailer for Super Capers!
You can thank me later... ladies.

Fanboys talks about Star Wars and makes some jokes.
Of course I would see this movie. As if there was ever any doubt. A comedy movie about Star Wars starring some guys who had bit parts in other comedy movies! Count me in! For those of you that don't know the film takes place in 1999 and tells the story of four friends who make a cross country trip to break into Skywalker ranch and see Episode 1 six months before it's release. All in all I was decently impressed with the film, there were plenty of good Star Wars references, plenty of haha and some really excellent cameos. If you have an enjoyment of Star Wars I would recommend checking it out, if for nothing else then seeing Kristen Bell in the Leia slave outfit. I popped like 15, no 16 boners.
Oscar Trailers
Here is a little clip of trailers that played at the end of The Oscars. It shows off a couple of worthwhile movies including Public Enemies with Christian Bale (who doesn't look very fucking amateur) and Johnny Depp! Also in the clip is 500 Days of Summer which is one of the first romantic dramedies I have a real desire to see thanks to Joseph Gordon Levitt (who makes me feel like I could actually land an attractive female) and Zooey Deschanel (who IS an attractive female). Unfortunately there is also a clip for Old Dogs (which looks GOD AWFUL) and Night at the Museum 2 (now with more Jonah Hill, but still with no funny). However the best part of the trailer is a cover of Bob Dylan's LeopardSkin PillBox Hat. Enjoy.

A Quick Apology
So I know we said we'd have highlights from last week on here, but due to my technological ineptitude, that is not possible. Let's just say recording error and leave it at that. However, in the following weeks we will be uploading highlights and minisodes, and I may upload our newest promos, as well as our older work. Hopefully this will give all you avid readers your needed dose of P&D. TTFN!

Hello & Welcome!
Hello everyone! Second half of Pete & Dave here. I'm going to do my best to post relevant material on here instead of just personal musings, so hopefully I don't just go off on random rants about class and such.
Peter and I had our radio show tonight in spite of the awful weather conditions, but neglected to record it. However, as promised we will have highlights of last week's episode available on Thursday. Keep tuning in to 97.5 Tuesdays at 7 pm, we're going for our second year running as best showcase so we could really use your help and your calls. Thanks for listening!

Monsters, creatures and hosts! Oh my?
Creature flicks are real good. I like them a lot. I think its neat to see monsters and stuff on screen. I get a bit a perverse pleasure seeing something larger than life destroying cities and ripping people limb from limb. I constantly ask people that if, knowing they wouldn't die, would they put themselves through the trauma of a giant something attacking where they lived. I would totally do it. I think it would be mighty life changing. One of the more famous recent creature movies was Cloverfield. Most people that I talked to weren't big fans of this movie. The shaky cam and somewhat depressing ending turned people off. I personally liked it quite a bit.
So I was pretty excited to see the South Korean film, The Host. A movie about a mutated beast living in a giant river. The movie starts off quick with the beast living the river and ripping people to shreds and making off with the daughter of the main character.
The rest of the movie follows two story lines, the girl surviving in the sewer with the monster and the girl's family trying to rescue her. Making this complicated are the reports that the monster is a host for a brand new virus that will will spread like wildfire if not properly contained. The Movie itself isn't quite what I was expecting but it was still pretty damn good. There was plenty of creature action and a good amount of humor and the movie was touching.
While it wasn't an instant classic like THEM! or The Blob it was still worth seeing.

Soon to be god-awesome!
Here is a quick update on movies I am totally jazzed for.Dead Snow
Zombies, Nazis, Vacation, OH MY!
What could possibly be better than a zombie blood bath in a cold climate? How about Nazi zombies? I would never feel bad about killing a zombie, but I think I would feel mighty good about taking out a Nazi zombie. Click here to see a trailer of the zombies getting a dose of Schindler's fist. (Pun'd!)
Franklyn
Man in mask + completely nonsensical trailer + no current North American distribution = movie I can't wait (but will have to) see.
I honestly couldn't tell you what Franklyn is about, but apparently it takes place in both present day and the future and people wear masks. Also it's in England, which means I'm extra boned for it. Click here for the trailer (courtesy of IGN) and maybe you can explain to me what it's about.
And of course...
Terminator Salvation
I love Terminator. Flat out. I will watch anything Terminator. I watch The Sarah Connor Chronicles every week. It's good. Deal with it. Terminator has everything you could want (Provided all you really want in life is killer robots and some confusing time travel) and now by casting Christian Bale they've added zombies! (C'mon he really isn't that good of an actor, right? Everybody sees it. Don't they? No?)
Well now I'm off to Terminator and Dark Knight fanboy proof my house, just in case.

bad food and the promise of sex...
Hello all, and welcome to my blog! The concept of this blog is, in my mind, quite simple. But it will undoubtedly be able to cover a pretty wide range of topics. The idea behind this blog is to talk about "cult" movies, what the are, and why you should see them. This could range from the awesomely bad, to the smaller released amazing films. Posts can range from updates on upcoming films and DVD to releases reviews and recollections from films past. I will readily admit that I am no expert when it comes to films, so by all means post your suggestions and comments! All I have is a passion for movies and a netflix account, hopefully that's enough to create some thoughtful and enjoyable blog posts. Thanks for reading and check back soon for updates.
